Given this is my first “public” blog or even just first blog in general, I hope to introduce myself or provide context for why I’m starting it.
Who am I?
I just a guy. In a nutshell, I am a guy who grew up partially in the middle east, and majorly in Australia. I grew a love for mechanical things and specially cars from a very young age. That passion continued to grow to technology, and later in life when I had to decide what to do for a living, I clearly decided not to chase down the automotive/mechanical path, and rather continue along my passions for tech and IT. So I am a guy who loves cars/mechanical things and I work in IT industry.
Why am I blogging now?
In recent years, I’ve been very fortunate that my career opened doors for me to work and now work/live in Japan. For any car nuts out there, specially if you grew up in the 90s and 00s, then it is highly likely that you grew a love for the Japanese cars and the scene that it created (from Drift, Touge, Wangan Runs, Car shows etc). Having gone through this phase myself and meeting alot of wonderful friends in the Australian Japanese car enthusiast scene, I know that there are alot of people who would love this kind of opportunity. So with a purpose of sharing the joys of being stuck in JDM Land, I started this blog.
What will I write about?
I have a passion for cars, ok, you got it! Apart from that, I also love outdoors, whether it is the sea side or the mountains – Japan has beautiful sites for both. And where there are beautiful scenery, it should be enjoyed with some special food and drinks 🙂 I’ll mostly be posting about my adventures that encompass this all.
So what’s next?
I’ll start with some backlog, I have been in Japan since about October 2018 (now almost 2 years), I have seen and ate alot. I’ll do some restrospective blogs, and then some regular blogs of any notable events. This is not a business venture for me, it is purely just to share with Family, Friends, and extended friends. So I hope you enjoy it 🙂
